NJSGS
The National Junior Santa Gertrudis Show brings juniors and families from across the country together for a week of competition, education and connection. From the show ring to contests and activities, NJSGS gives members the opportunity to showcase their cattle, develop their skills and make lifelong memories.
Youth Foundation
The Santa Gertrudis Youth Foundation invests in the future of the breed by supporting opportunities for junior members. Through scholarships, educational programs and youth activities, the Foundation helps provide resources that encourage the next generation to learn, lead and stay involved in the Santa Gertrudis breed.
Become a member
There is a place for you in the National Junior Santa Gertrudis Association. Membership connects juniors with opportunities to show cattle, compete in contests, develop leadership skills, earn scholarships and build friendships with Santa Gertrudis juniors from across the country. Membership forms are available on the SGBI website.
NJSGS Contests
There is more to Junior Nationals than the show ring. NJSGS contests give junior members opportunities to put their knowledge, creativity, communication and leadership skills to work through competitions designed for a variety of interests and age divisions.
Donated Heifer program
The Donated Heifer Program connects deserving junior members with Santa Gertrudis breeders who are committed to investing in the next generation. Through the generosity of participating breeders, selected juniors receive a heifer and the opportunity to grow their herd, gain hands-on experience and become more involved in the breed.
Gerts Ongoing Advanced Leadership Summit
GOALS gives NJSGA members the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, build connections and prepare for the future. Through educational sessions, hands-on activities and time spent with fellow juniors, participants gain skills and experiences they can carry with them beyond the Santa Gertrudis breed.
